Blanket of Love
This blanketIs not elaborate in design
Nor is it perfect in appearance
But it has lots of warmth to share.
It was created
By loving hands and a caring heart
And its purpose is only to serve
Wherever and whenever it is needed.
It is washable
So it can be kept clean
And is ready and fit to be used
As required.
As the years go by
Its function may change
But its presence will remind you
Of the original purpose
And of the one who made it.
…Come to think of it…
All these statements could be applied to us -
And our Creator!
Made by arthritic but loving hands
Of your caring Grandmother
For a precious child I may never see!
