Faded Rose

The bloom may be fading,
But fragrance still lingers,
Spreading its perfume
On warm summer air;
While some other blossoms
In beauty's full glory
Have no sweet fragrance
With mankind to share.

Oh Lord, may Your Spirit
Fill me so completely
The sweet scent of Jesus
My life overflows.
So even when older
Or helpless and feeble
I still spread Your perfume
Like that faded rose!
