Looking Inside

Hey, who's that hiding in there?
From whom are you running away?
Come out and let's take a look at you,
And hear what you have to say!

Don't shrink away in the corner,
Afraid to face the light,
Let's have a confrontation,
Bring all those fears into sight.

If you'll come out into the open,
I can meet you face to face;
We could get to know each other,
With no feeling of disgrace.

We might reach an understanding,
And as the time goes by,
May find we like each other,
If only we both will try,

So be a coward no longer,
Don't rot in your little hole,
Come out and do some living -
Give breathing room to your soul.

Here, take my hand and step forward
Where I your face can see.
Good grief, life's full of surprises,
For now I can see you're Me!
