O Canada

O Canada, how gratefully we honour you!
Vast land of lakes, of rivers and of seas;
Your peaceful prairies and your verdant valleys;
Exquisite landscapes forested with trees!
Your fertile fields aglow with promised harvests;
Breathtaking mountain ranges, sentinel-like stand,
With snow-capped peaks that reach forever heavenward
Like consecrated and imploring hands.

O Canada, we thank you for our freedoms;
For choice to live, work, study and to play
In wilderness, in village or in city;
And how we worship and to whom we pray.
O God, we praise you for this precious country;
This beauteous land that we so deeply love.
Help us to serve and keep her free and glorious,
Until we come to dwell with you above.
