See, Lord, My Hands are Empty

See, Lord, my hands are empty,
For I have given Thee
All I am and all I have
Or ever hope to be.

I gave you all my sins, Lord,
My weaknesses and fears;
The burdens, oh so heavy,
I had carried through the years.

My hopes and aspirations,
The dreams I long to see,
The bitter disappointments,
I gave them all to Thee.

I made a full commitment;
“Hands down,” I let them go;
Resolved to trust You only,
Your perfect rest to know.

See, Lord, my hands are empty,
Waiting now for You to fill
With all Your Spirit‘s fullness
And delight in Your sweet will.
