Sharing Comfort

When you are sad and your heart is sore,
Just give me a call or knock on my door.
A hug, a kiss, and a hot cup of tea
Will be a gift to you, from me.
I'll listen and hold you while you cry
And sympathize with every sigh.
But then I'll take the chance to say
“I've listened and loved, now let us pray.”

We'll tell the Lord just how you feel,
And you can know His presence real.
I will show His compassion to you
So you may come to know Him too.
This is the best thing I can share
Through the comfort of love and prayer.
